Make oil changes less messy with our Oil Drain Plate with Drain Hole. It is manufactured to original factory specifications for a direct fit on your Air Cooled VW.

In the early 70's, VW replaced this original drain plate to one that did not have the drain hole. This was due to owners just draining the oil, and not removing the plate to replace the gaskets or clean the screen, which resulted in sludge build up and caused the engine to seize.

Make sure to remove the plate to clean your oil screen during every oil change. If this simple step is missed, it can lead to very costly repairs.
