1950-1979 VW EMPI Distributor Rotor for All-In-One Distributor

A smooth, predictable ignition curve can make a big difference in how your air-cooled VW responds on the street, and this distributor advance setup is designed to deliver just that. The advance begins at 1,000 RPM and smoothly builds to 18 degrees of mechanical advance at 2,400 RPM, along with 10 degrees of vacuum advance for better response during normal cruising and changing engine loads. That combination helps your engine transition cleanly through the RPM range instead of relying on a one-size-fits-all timing setting. An O-ring comes pre-installed for a ready-to-fit installation. This setup requires EMPI 00-9437-B Distributor and should be paired with a Bosch Blue or other high-energy coil rated at 3.4 ohms primary and 12k ohms secondary with a built-in resistor. If your coil does not have an internal resistor, an external ballast resistor can be installed between the power source and distributor.
