1961-1979 VW Chromoly Gland Nut and Washer

When you're building a VW engine for more power, the last thing you want is a stock gland nut becoming the weak link. This heavy-duty Performance Flywheel Gland Nut is built from ultra-strong 4340 chromoly billet steel, delivering up to three times the strength of a factory gland nut to keep your flywheel securely fastened under demanding conditions. Its larger diameter head and thicker cross section provide added durability, while the concave spring steel washer delivers serious clamping force to help maintain a secure connection between the crankshaft and flywheel. A pre-greased needle bearing and grease seal round out the design for dependable operation. Capable of withstanding up to 350 ft-lbs of tightening torque, this performance gland nut works with both stock 4-dowel and 8-dowel flywheels on 1200cc-1600cc air-cooled VW engines with manual transmissions.
