2001-2004 C5 Anti-Lock Brake System ABS Module Restoration Service

This service incorporates a surge suppression upgrade, functioning akin to a surge protector you'd find in a household setting. Whenever the electronic brake control module (EBCM) receives power from the ignition, it undergoes a validation process before activating itself. Among the checks performed is ensuring the proper attachment and functionality of the ABS pump.
During this validation, the EBCM sends a brief voltage signal to the pump to assess its condition. Unfortunately, this action often generates a significant voltage spike from the pump, which can adversely affect the EBCM's electronics. This rebuilding service includes measures to suppress this spike, safeguarding against potential future issues.
While your brake module is being repaired you will still be able to drive your vehicle without the ABS and traction control functions.
Damaged or improperly serviced units may require additional charges. Please note that if you are experiencing the diagnostic trouble code 1255 that this is not repairable and indicates an internal malfunction.
