If your 1998-2004 C5 Knock Sensor is bad, you may notice engine pings/knocks, poor fuel economy, high emissions, the dreaded check engine light, or in a worst case scenario; internal engine damage. Avoid unnecessary damage to your Corvette and consider checking your knock sensor at the first sign of trouble.
1997-1998 early Corvettes used a knock sensor with a locating tab. 1998 late-2004 Corvettes did not use the locating tab.
NOTE: The knock sensor will typically be located in front of the starter to properly measure the correct vibrations.
