1969-1972 Aluminum Radiator 427 and 454 Manual Transmission Black Ice

Keep your 1969-1972 4-Speed Big Block Corvette running cool with our high efficiency Aluminum Direct Fit Black Ice Coated Radiator. This is a true "direct fit" aluminum radiator for 1969-72 big block engine Corvettes with manual transmission. Unlike other "universal" aftermarket radiators, this model features the correct 27.5" core, factory type upper channels, stock hose connections, and press formed tanks. This radiator features two rows of one inch wide tubes and will provide 30% more cooling than an equal size four row brass copper radiator. Drain cock is attached.

The Black Ice Coating is a special two part epoxy paint. It is applied in a spray and adheres to the aluminum and will not ever flake or peel off. It is s semi-gloss finish that will give the radiator the look of an original copper/brass unit. The total thickness of the dried product is on .002" thick and it will not affect the cooling performance whatsoever.

  • 5278 BTU Compared to 4242BTU for OE Brass/Copper Units
  • 27.5" Core Width
  • Fits 1969-1972 Big Block Manual Transmission Corvettes

NOTE: Our Direct Fit Aluminum Radiators are designed to improve cooling capacity over the original equipment aluminum or brass/copper units and fit properly within the various core supports without modification.  Always confirm the size (core width) of your existing radiator as we see many Corvettes with non-original core support/radiator combinations or engine swaps that lead to incorrect replacement radiator selection.  The radiator is but one of many components in the cooling system and its efficiency is often compromised by the lack of proper hood, core and radiator seals, incorrect fan or shroud combination, fan clutch/ thermostat and circulation issues, or even ignition timing.  If you have questions, please feel free to contact us.
