This 1968-1976 Corvette Manual Shift Boot Lower Steel Surround Bezel is a part of your Corvette Shift boot.
This part was never avaialbe from GM and if your shift boot is missing this part or is damaged, there is not need to purchase a new shift boot.
This surround is attached to the lower (console tunnel side) of your shift boot and attaches to your console surround plate to hold boot in place.
