The 1968-Early 1969 Corvette Convertible Body Lock Pillar is located where the top rear edge of door meets the deck lid. When the deck lid is closed, it seals down on the Body Lock Pillar.
The 1st Design 1969 style Lock Pillar Seal has an attached, molded wedge that forms a tight seal against the upper end of the door seal. During 1969 production this was modified to a separate plastic wedge component part.
