Our 1963-1982 Value Grade Hood Ledge Weatherstrip Seal is designed to help air flow in a correct path for proper engine cooling. Sealing the hood at the rear actually helps cool engine bay by keeping the air flow circulating in a correct manner, escaping out and under your car. This coated foam rubber weatherstrip is just the right durometer to allow your hood to close smoothly. This is sometimes called the hood rail seal.
