1963-1982 Bilstein Heavy Duty Gas Charged Rear Shock Absorber
Corvette owners often ask us which Bilstein Shocks are "better" for their car. We have installed both the Bilstein Heavy Duty and their Sport Shocks on various Corvettes. What we find is that the Heavy Duty valved shocks are factory replacement shocks that yield a smooth ride and good handling.
The Sport valving is the correct choice for better body control, handling and a firm ride at the same time. This is especially true on lowered Corvettes - Sport valving will help prevent bottoming out. The Sport valving also is the proper choice for FE7 Gymkhana Suspension Corvettes.
