Our 1962-1987 Corvette Starter Brace is manufactured by General Motors and is a direct replacement for the original on your small block engine. Often times if this brace is missing torque from the starter will cause enough deflection to misalign the starter gear and flywheel. This can lead to premature gear wear and even failure.
