1957 C1 Fully Restored Original Hardtop
Your Corvette's hardtop can take a lot of abuse over the years. This fully restored 1957 C1 Hardtop is made to NCRS/Bloomington Gold standards to breathe new life into your Corvette. Starting with an original core, the roofskin is completely separated from the frame, hand sanded, leveled out with body filler, and then it goes through the various stages of primers and paint. All of the rivets & screws come out of the framework, and any of the salvageable parts are saved, cleaned, and re-used.
Any dings and dents in the framework will be straightened and polished as well as all of the stainless steel trim work. Once all of that is completed, all of the pieces will be put back together again, and that includes a new headliner and all new rubber weatherstrips. When it’s all said and done, your hardtop will look better than what it did when it rolled of the factory floor. To begin the process, you will need to provide your VIN to properly date code your window(s). They'll be stamped two months prior to the build date of your car.
The color of your headliner; this is typically the same color as your car seats. You will also need to provide what color and type of paint you require (whether you want to use base coat/clear coat or lacquer). With multiple ways to provide accurate color matching, your restored hardtop will look just the way it did when it left the factory.
Restoration Process:
- Disassembly of the Original Hardtop - Frame& All
- Sand & Polish the Frame & Stainless Steel Moldings
- Strip Away Old Paint & Repair Fiberglass as Needed
- All Correct Rivets & Weatherstrip Placed the Same as Factory
- Stainless Steel Moldings Installed with Proper Retainers
- Paint Work - Whether Base Coat/Clear Coat or Lacquer
- Install Fresh Headliner - Dyed to Match Your Interior
- Crystal-Clear Acrylic Windows Date-Stamped to Match Your Car’s VIN

SPECIAL ORDER ITEM: These hardtops are NOT off the rack. Each one is fully restored to order. Please allow one year for your hardtop to be hand crafted.
