1997-2004 Ignition Cylinder Uncoded. "Uncoded" means that the tumblers in the lock cylinder are not set to a particular key pattern and have to be 'coded' to your key. You can go to a GM dealership with your VIN and they can write down the correct code for your key. You then have to setup the tumblers in the lock cylinder to the code the dealer gives you.
