One end of this 3/8-16 double-ended stud bites into the intake manifold, the other gives you clean threads to bolt on all of your brackets, and since it comes with the jam nut and washer you’re not digging through coffee cans for hardware that almost fits. It’s the right way to keep fuel injection filters, expansion tanks, vent tubes, fuel filter brackets, and even spark control solenoids solidly mounted, instead of vibrating like a cheap lawn chair at idle.
