The Center Tie Rod/Drag Link’s main purpose is to connect the steering gearbox to the rest of the steering system. Driver input from the steering gearbox is transferred through the pitman arm to the Center Tie Rod. The Center Tie Rod then actuates the inner and outer tie rod assemblies to move the wheels.
