The 34 PICT-3 is the correct carburetor for 1600cc dual port Air Cooled VW engines — and this EMPI version is engineered true to the original with bushings on each end of the throttle shaft for correct operation and long service life. Each unit is wet-tested and preset to standard engine configurations before shipping so installation is straightforward and performance is correct from the first start.
The 12-volt automatic choke and bypass air cut-off valve are included for proper cold start operation. A mounting gasket is included for complete installation. This carburetor will clear the alternator on late model applications and includes a jet pack for high ethanol fuels and header applications.
