1970-1972 Beetle Sedan Basket Weave Seat Cover Set

If you prefer a bit more texture and a more prominent pattern for your 1970-1972 Standard and 1971-1972 Super Beetle Sedan Seat Covers, check out the Basket Weave Design. Choose from one of 9 OEM colors in the classic Basket Weave Style, which features matching smooth vinyl piping. This Volkswagen Seat Cover Set is manufactured to OEM specs for an exact fit. Our color choices were color matched to the originals. This allows you to restore your Air-Cooled VW just like it rolled out of the factory.

When installing new seat covers, we highly recommend using new seat foam, injection molded foam or molded synthetic horsehair padding. Our new padding will make your new seat covers look and fit their best. Worn seat padding often results in wrinkled or ill-fitting covers. Using new seat padding will deliver the results you desire for your new seat cover installation.

SPECIAL ORDER ITEM: Seat Covers are custom fabricated for your order in your chosen color and will be delivered in approximately 10 working days.

  • Solid Style, Extruded Piping, No White Cord Will Ever Show Despite Years Of Wear
  • Choose From 9 OEM Colors For Your Restoration
  • Basket Weave Pattern For A Classic Look

Tech Note: The front seats are the same on a Convertible and a Sedan. The difference is in the rear seat width. 1970-1972 Standard and 1971-1972 Super Beetle Sedans have a rear seat that measures 46" wide. The Convertibles rear seat measures 40.5" wide. 1968 was the first year that VW used "upholstery buttons" on the seat backs so dont forget to purchase those if yours are missing or faded. Upholstery Buttons Sold Separately.
