Converting your 1968 Bug, or Type 3 from drum to disc brakes is now easier than ever. Our VW Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kits are true bolt-on packages with heavy duty forged caliper mounting brackets. Our conversion kit also includes loaded calipers, 5/205 rotors and all hardware necessary for installation. Instructions Included.
You will need to change your wheel rims from 4/130 to the 5/205 Lug pattern for the earlier look. (Wheels not included)

This kit requires a larger bore master cylinder and adapter mounting kit SKU 325040 and SKU 325038
The SKU for the CSP German Front Kit to match this kit is 318037 for Bug and Mexican Bug or 325018 for Type 3.
The SKU for the Front kit on an early Type 3 is 325016
This kit will not work with 14" Wheel Rims.
Will fit Type 3 from VIN 76300 provided the Type 3 is Swing Axle.
TECH TIP: Now is a perfect time to replace your aging front and rear brake hoses and brake fluid. As brake hoses age they swell and collapse internally and this may cause brakes to drag or lock up over time. Brake fluid retains moisture and over time will cause internal corrosion.
