If you don't have a few basic items on hand when installing the flywheel, you will have a delay in your install project. It's a good idea to know what you need to have and buy extra so your friends will be impressed when they ask you for a shim, pin set, seal, gland nut, O-ring. How many times has a project stalled out because of, I forgot to order that.
Note: Our 300726 Air Cooled VW Gland Nut is the finest performance gland nut on the market! Larger diameter head and thicker cross section for added strength. Can be torqued to 350 lbs without breaking. Manufactured from 4340 chromoly billet steel, 3 times the strength of stock gland nuts!
Note: Don't forget you will need to torque the "Gland Nut" to 250 ft/lbs (check your shop manual for your specific model), so you may want to consider a "Flywheel Gland Nut Tool" and "Flywheel Lock" to do the job right. See "Related Products" below.
