This is the 9 1/2" long piece of hard line that hooks on to the top of the Air Cooled Volkswagen Brake Master Cylinder. This line connects the soft rubber hose that goes into the bottom of the brake fluid reservoir and hooks into the top of the master cylinder. If you are replacing this line, it is very possible that your fluid reservoir will need replacing. This hose is approximately 9 1/2" long.
Note: This hard metal line will need to be bent for installation. We recommend a brake line bending tool in order to get the bend just right. You don't want to just bend it with your fingers because you have a good chance of breaking the line in half. Note: We highly recommend a new master cylinder base grommet. This is the grommet that this metal feed tube hooks into in order to deliver brake fluid to the master cylinder.
