The Cal-Look style seals do not include a groove for the fitment of chrome or polished aluminum window molding trim. All US delivered Beetles arrived from the factory with these molding pieces; the Cal-Look (sometimes referred to as "Euro" or "Standard" Look) provides the de-chromed, blacked out show look that all European models featured. The de-chromed look was popularized in California and inspired the creation of these replacement seals that provide this sought after look without leaving the exposed groove for the trim.
This seal provides a tight barrier, making it difficult for the elements to harm your Beetle. Dried out or damaged weatherstripping can allow unnecessary damage; ensure your VW is protected!
