1950-1970 Convertible Reinforcement Rail LH Heavy Duty German Made - OEM Number(s) (151-701-131-B)
Our 1950-1970 LH Heavy Duty Convertible Reinforcement Rails, German, were designed to support the convertible body since it has no hard top to stabilize its form. The rails weld beneath the heater channel assemblies which are located directly below the doors. Examine your rails by looking under the car just inside where the running boards attach. Rails extend down two inches and have jack supports extending outward near the rear of the rails.
If your reinforcement rails are rusted or have damage, your heater channel will be exposed and likely to also have rust damage.
These German reinforcement rails are made from heavy gauge steel and include jack supports already installed. The rails are welded into an original form and are completely ready for installation.
Note: Rusted rails may cause your doors to close improperly or rattle on bumpy roads. To maintain the integrity of your car we highly recommend replacement of your damaged rails with our complete heavy duty Convertible Reinforcement Rails.
