TECH NOTE: 1954 had 2 sized Motors that year. First there was the 30HP Motor but was quickly switched over to the 36HP Motor. Also Volkswagen began with the 40HP Motor in 1961 which was used in a majority of their models HOWEVER they did still produce the 36HP Motor up to 1965.
