1950–1965 Narrowed Front Torsion Spring – Fits King Pin Beam

A smoother ride for your vintage Beetle or Karmann Ghia is just a spring swap away. This Air Cooled VW Narrowed Front Torsion Spring is designed for Volkswagens with aftermarket narrowed axle beams—most commonly installed to gain inner fender clearance for wider front wheels and tires. It features 6 total spring leaves (8 segments), correct grub screw detents, and installs in either the upper or lower beam housing.

Just like the factory version, this spring provides the support your VW King and Link Pin front end needs while maintaining proper twist resistance and travel. Sold individually—two are required per vehicle (upper and lower).

Features
• Compatible with 2" narrowed King and Link Pin front beams
6-leaf pack with 8 spring segments total
Three drilled detents spaced 18" center-to-center for grub screw locks
• Fits either upper or lower position
• Designed for use with factory or narrowed trailing arms
• Sold individually (2 required per beam)
Steel construction, approximately 5 lbs per spring

Approximate Overall Dimensions
• 35" length (889 mm)
• 0.74" width

Because Details Matter
The front suspension on your early VW isn’t just about ride comfort—it’s the heart of your control and steering. Whether you're narrowing the beam for style or stance, choosing the right torsion spring ensures proper twist, preload, and performance. Don’t compromise your handling—build it right from the inside out.
