VW Fact: The VW Split Window Beetle was produced until February 1953. Beginning from the Beetle's KDF origin to September 1952, the Split Window was one of the best known features on the Volkswagen and is still an eye catching feature today. The Zwitter Beetle was the last of the Split Windows being manufactured from October 1952 to February 1953. The Oval Window was introduced in March 1953 and was used until 1957.
