Proper installation of your Beetle's deck lid handle isn't complete without this direct replacement collar. The T-handle inserts through this collar to provide a clean, snug installation against the deck lid as well as allowing the lock to properly function. When the key is turned, the stud in the handle is inserted into this collar to complete the locking process.
