The trouble could be hiding inside the distributor, where worn or stripped drive gears can stop the mechanical tachometer from doing its job. This 1962-1974 Corvette Distributor Shaft is an improved OEM-style replacement designed to restore proper tachometer drive operation by replacing the damaged main shaft gear. Built for non-fuel-injected Corvettes, it offers a dependable solution that keeps your original mechanical tachometer setup working as intended. Whether you're tracking down a stubborn tachometer issue or rebuilding your distributor during an engine restoration, getting the right components back in place means one less headache and a tach needle that's back in business.

Fits 1962 C1 Corvettes without fuel injection

Fits 1963-1967 C2 Corvettes without fuel injection

Fits 1968-1974 C3 Corvettes without fuel injection

Direct replacement for GM part number 1968080

Improved OEM-style distributor shaft replacement

Replaces damaged or stripped distributor main shaft gears

Helps restore proper mechanical tachometer drive operation

Addresses tachometer failure caused by worn distributor drive gears
